Health Camp and Sports Day at Aravanaikum Anbu Illam.

As a part of the Vidial College Chapter activities a Health camp and Sports Day were held at Aravanaikum Anbu Illam (Coimbatore) twice in 2007 - 2008. The main objective of these camps and events were to

  • improve the bond between Vidial members and children of Illam
  • to impart good sense in them

Sports Day was organized at Illam on August 19th, 2007 & January 27th 2008. Games were conducted in various categories for Illam students depending upon their age. Prizes were given to almost all participants to encourage them to seek their higher goals. We at Vidial saw a lot of smiles from these budding talents.

Boys running towards their goal

Our members observed that there was a lack of cleanliness and hygiene at Illam. To make the children understand the importance of cleanliness and hygiene a workshop was planned for them.
Since we lacked experience in this area, the workshop was conducted in association with G-18 institution.

Revealing their creativity

This workshop was held at Gandhi Museum, Singanallur on September 2nd, 2007. Our members took the students from Illam to museum for the day long camp. Apart from giving lessons about health and hygiene, other activities were held to improve their creative skills and team building skills.

A health camp was held on March 23, 2008 for the children . We are planning to make this health camp a regular one.
